Throughout her career, Laura has led diverse housing and service portfolios focused on housing stability, supportive housing, rapid rehousing, reentry services, and community-based program development. Her leadership philosophy is rooted in Housing First principles, trauma-informed care, and client-centered service delivery, with a strong emphasis on building sustainable systems that improve outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.
In addition to her executive leadership experience, Laura has provided consulting services to nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and philanthropic partners throughout Alaska. Driven by a passion for expanding both the availability and quality of housing, Laura co-founded LCMB LLC alongside longtime friend and business partner Matt Benedetti. As Co-Owner and Managing Member, she helps lead the company’s work in housing development support, property operations, rehabilitation coordination, compliance strategy, asset management, and operational consulting, bringing together her experience in housing systems, organizational leadership, and community-focused development.
Matt Benedetti is an operations executive, construction professional, and housing development strategist with more than 15 years of experience spanning property management, asset management, construction project management, real estate development, and organizational leadership. With an additional 18 years of experience in financial analysis and real estate underwriting, Matt brings a uniquely integrated perspective that combines operational execution, construction oversight, financial strategy, and systems-driven problem solving.
Throughout his career, Matt has served in leadership roles supporting operations, construction management, facilities management, housing development, technology infrastructure, and organizational strategy. His broad experience across multiple disciplines has allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of housing operations, property systems, construction management, organizational infrastructure, and long-term asset preservation.
Known for his highly adaptive and systems-oriented leadership style, Matt has led a wide range of initiatives involving facilities operations, unit rehabilitation, capital improvement planning, organizational technology integration, compliance support, process development, and operational modernization. His work frequently bridges the gap between strategic planning and hands-on implementation, allowing projects and operational systems to move efficiently from concept through execution.
As a licensed General Contractor with a Residential Endorsement, Matt brings extensive experience in residential rehabilitation, property restoration, construction coordination, and housing preservation. His work emphasizes practical, durable, and cost-effective solutions that improve both property performance and resident experience. He is particularly passionate about revitalizing aging housing stock, improving operational efficiency, and implementing long-term asset management strategies that protect and enhance housing investments.
Matt also possesses extensive experience in technology systems integration and operational modernization. By combining expertise in information technology, security systems, process automation, operational analytics, and infrastructure planning, he helps organizations and property owners leverage technology to improve efficiency, strengthen operations, and enhance resident safety.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business with concentrations in Finance and Economics, a Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Certified Hotel Asset Manager (CHAM) designation, and a General Contractor License with Residential Endorsement. His multidisciplinary background allows him to effectively navigate the intersection of construction, operations, finance, development, and long-term asset strategy.
